This December is the busiest I’ve ever had in my Second Life! That’s mainly because of TWO big events that FOCUS has never experienced before. The first is the $L100,000 Linden Photo Contest. Rahnn and Carrie Parker came to me this past fall with a great idea. They wanted to put up a staggering amount of lindens to inspire our many FOCUS readers and groups members to reach deep within and create their very best work in 2021. It’s an opportunity for us all to explore our creativity, and be motivated by the possibility of a huge reward at the end!

The other event is SL’s first ever FOCUS Photography Fair! We have gathered an exciting array of photography tools, gadgets, poses, lighting systems, and education — everything a photographer might need in ONE place. The Photography Fair starts on Friday December 18th and runs until January 1st with music events every day! Please stop by as this fair has been especially tailored to all of YOU, our ever-growing number of FOCUS readers!

This December issue of FOCUS is a special one because we are featuring two people who have dedicated a large amount of their time and skill to benefit art in SL. Firstly, we feature Looker Lumet, who has been a long-time member of FOCUS. He shares his flair with light, as well as a bit about his past and present SL.

Next is our member feature, Dark Kaldun. He is the originator of the “FOCUS Campfire Photo Sessions” which is a surprisingly large group of photogs who get together ‘round a campfire to give each other critiques and opinions on each other’s photos. It’s also an effective way to learn how to fix common photography pitfalls.
