The theme for World Virtual Photography Day this year is “Understanding Clouds.” So I thought it might be nice for us to celebrate it with our monthly contest! So the theme is…. CLOUDS! And whatever that means to you creatively. It’s a tough one but you can do it! The clouds have to be genuine in-game clouds but can be touched up in PS or whatever.
Photos are due August 23rd and the Voting Event will take place on August 25th at 6pm. Photos must be moderate. One entry per person. Please drop your photos off in the MAILBOX in front of the FOCUS building. Click here for a landmark.
Prizes for the judges’ winners are 1st Place 1000L, 2nd Place 750L, and 3rd Place 500L.

Dear Friends,
Our Fair is going to conclude for this session tonight, but I hope you agree that it was an amazing and useful event. I want to thank our vendors who hopefully have made friends as well as sales. I want to thank the staff, who have worked to help me put together this complex event, but especially Wren Carling, our Director, who has put in hours that would be illegal in real life. I want to thank the live singers, DJs, and artists who have added music and education to our event and been very kind in accommodating to changes (some last minute ones!). I want to thank others but there are just too many to name.
But most of all I want to thank those of you who came to our Photo Fair, all, 5600 who came and supported this event simply by being here. It’s been proven to me yet again how FOCUS has a life of it’s own and that is because of YOU.
And now, as the Big Tent folds it’s doors… “Go out, see the world, marvel in its beauty, capture that essence of life, and live your lives to the fullest.” I will see you September for the next fair on September 9th- 25th!

“Shadows” will be the theme for FOCUS’s October Photo Contest. Shadows can be scary or melancholic. They can be silly or surreal. Just show us however you envision shadows – but keep in mind that shadows must be the focal point of the photo. Sometimes, sadly, great photos are passed because they don’t “focus” on the contest’s theme. The DUE DATE is October 28th. Please drop your photo off in the little red mailbox to the side of the main FOCUS Gallery. All photos must be moderate. 1st place wins 1000L, 2nd wins 750L and 3rd wins 500L. Have fun!
