Sunday Shopping Suggestion: Photo Fair!

The Artemis Corner kiosk is a bit like Superman, “disguised as a mild-mannered reporter.”  After seeing this deceptively simple booth, you must visit the main store to marvel at hundreds of unique sculptures in a stunning setting.  Links to this firm’s main store and MP can be found in the corner, along with pathways to ACS’s Facebook and Flickr sites.  Don’t underestimate these folks.  Their work is more powerful than a speeding locomotive!

A Shopping Suggestion: Think of Photo Fair as your hub or home for shopping. Come in, look, browse, listen to music, and then — afterward — zip off to vendors’ stores. But let these merchants know that “I found you at Photo Fair!” It only takes a second to send an IM to the owner of a store — and it helps that man or woman in knowing how to best reach you: the shopper. Thank you!

More live music at Photo Fair? Yes.

Ricky Capone will be entertaining at 6 pm SLT this Saturday evening, February 19th. Ricky, winner of the “2013 Second Life Got Talent Contest” is a performer capable of every style of music. Opera, country, jazz, pop, blues, rhythm and blues, rock, reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, Latin, and on and on! Professional singer, producer, songwriter, pianist, and guitar player. Ricky does it all!

After an hour of great music, the night is not over! Following at 7 SLT, stay and listen to DJ Bray Preston. She’s not your usual disc jockey! And she can handle most requests if you have ‘that special song’ you want to be dedicated to that ‘someone you care about.’

A full 4 HOURS of live music at Photo Fair!

At noon today, Saturday, February 19th, we have Shady!

Shady”… who sings professionally, and who has over 20 years of experience as a performer… has won singing competitions in his region of the United Kingdom, perfecting his craft since he was in his teens! Shady is noted for the variety he brings to his art. We’re delighted to bring him to our Focus Fair stage today!

Next, at 1 pm today we bring back ever-popular fly Kugin!

Fly Kugin is not only a superb performer but is both a professional musician and music teacher in Istanbul, Turkey

Rounding out our four hours of music is two hours by the unmatched magician of music, Bsukmet Stormcrow from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Bsukmet is an original composer who exclusively plays his own compositions which are loved by all who attend his shows. He mainly uses electronic and orchestral resources, but his style is eclectic, and his method consists of using exclusively free resources available to everyone and avoiding the use of sounds created by other composers. He will be dual streaming with Fly for part of his gig so don’t miss it! — Composer, piano player, band musician, and music teacher, Bsukmet creates music in styles out of anyone’s normal comfort zone, using free resources only and avoiding the use of samples (except for some sound effects or voices). Each piece is created note by note!

EEP isn’t a cry for help — but help is here at Photo Fair!

Oldtimers remember when Second Life was abuzz with rumors of something called “Wind Light”. And when it arrived, “the smart kids” explained to the rest of us why it was so “cool’. It took us a while, but eventually, we realized it really was cool!

Here we are again! This time its EEP. A lot of us went, “Environmental Enhancement Project? What is that?!” Well, it’s past time for those who are behind the times to catch up (again).

Today Saturday, February 19th at 10 am SLT, Teddybear (aka teddysnugglebear.littlepaws) will give an hour-long workshop on EEP at Photo Fair. This will be a session where everyone will learn.

Krisie Snowdrop: Canadian Songstress

Krisie Snowdrop, one of our favorite Canadian musicians says: “I am no rock or country star, and I will never travel the real world or ride in a limo, but I am truly honored to have the opportunity to sing.” And tonight, February 17th, she will again sing — for you.
